Every semester we put together service projects that benefit people in our community. The goal is to make a difference in people's lives and give us the opportunity to share Christ's live in tangible ways. Each project has room for a limited space (usually for about 15-30 people) to serve. Once the number of available slots have been filled, we will close out sign-ups for a project. See below for this semester's options.

Project #1:
Chosen 300 Ministries - FULL
Date:
Friday, March 2
Time Commitment:
5:30 to 7:30 PM
Description:
We will provide and serve dinner to 100 homeless men, women & children. We’ll provide worship & a short message before serving the evening meal.
What you can do:
1) Serve onsite; help set-up & serve the evening meal and provide an item of food. 2) Provide an item(s) of food from the list.
Who can serve:
Anyone - kids can come and help, too. We need about 20-25 people to sign up.
Project #2:
American Cancer Society Hope Lodge - FULL
Date:
Thursday, March 15
Time Commitment:
5:30 to 8 PM
Description:
Provide & serve dinner to approximately 30 resident cancer patients & their caretakers. After spending long hours at the hospital, many of the patients are too tired or worn out to cook by the time they get back to the Lodge. Having a home cooked meal is a real treat for them.
What you can do:
1) Come to the Lodge to help prepare & serve the meal, and also sign-up to bring an item of food from a list provided. 2) If you can't make it to the Lodge, you can help by providing an item of food.
Who can serve:
This project is for adults only - we can accept up to 20 sign-ups per date.
Project #3:
Community Easter Egg Hunt at Gorgas Park (Roxborough) - FULL

Time Commitment:
8 AM to noon
Location:
Gorgas Park, located at Ridge Avenue and Hermitage Streets
Description:
Nothing says Spring like running around trying to find carefully hidden candy filled eggs.… We're planning a big, fun, very sweet Easter egg hunt event for the Roxborough/Manayunk community. There will be egg hunts for various age groups, refreshments, and lots of other fun surprises. Join the fun and help us make this the BEST Easter egg hunt to ever.
What you can do:
We need volunteers to help set-up, help with the activities, and clean up.
Who can serve:
All ages are welcome to help onsite, from young kids to adults.
Project #4:
Annual Mother’s Day Home-Makeover - FULL
Date:
Saturday, May 5 (raindate May 12)
Time Commitment:
Shift 1: 8:30 AM-12:30 PM; Shift 2: 1-5:00 PM
Description:
We select a deserving single mom from the Philadelphia area and give her a mother's day present that she'll never forget, a mini home makeover.
What you can do:
Come lend a helping hand, we'll be painting, light home repairs, gardening, handy work, and so much more.
Who can serve:
Anyone - kids can come and help, too.
Project #5:
Host Prom for the students at PA School of the Deaf - FULL
Date:
TBD - first or second weekend of June
Time Commitment:
TBD - shifts
Description:
We’ll "run the show" on prom night, provide music, decorations, entertainment and many other special touches to make this a spectacular event for the students.
What you can do:
Help decorate, prepare the space, help during the prom.
Who can serve:
All ages are welcome to help set-up and decorate. Adults may serve during prom.
